Unlike some ski travel insurance policies, Single Trip travellers only pay for the days they choose to ski or snowboard
For Single Trip policies, you don’t need to add Snow Sports Cover for your whole trip unless you want to. When you create a quote, simply enter the dates you plan to ski, snowboard or take part in covered snow sports activities.

Here are some of the most common questions about Snow Sports Cover and how it works.
Do I need Snow Sports Cover?
If your trip includes skiing, snowboarding or other snow-based activities, this option needs to be added to your policy. Without it, there’s no cover for claims arising from snow sports.
Is ski travel insurance included automatically?
No. If you plan to ski, snowboard or participate in other covered snow sports activities, Snow Sports Cover must be added to your policy and shown on your Certificate of Insurance. Without it, there’s no cover for claims arising from snow sports.
What does Snow Sports Cover include?
When you add Snow Sports Cover, it includes cover for loss, theft or damage to your snow sports equipment, equipment hire if your gear is lost, stolen or damaged, prepaid lift passes and lessons you can’t use due to illness or injury, a benefit if pistes close due to adverse weather or insufficient snow, and a benefit for certain avalanche-related delays.
Do I have to add Snow Sports Cover for my whole trip?
For Single Trip policies, you can choose the dates you want Snow Sports Cover to apply when you create your quote. This means you only pay for the days you plan to be on snow.
Does Snow Sports Cover apply off-piste?
No. Cover applies to recreational snow sports on marked, patrolled areas only. Off-piste skiing or snowboarding is not covered.
Am I covered if I’m competing?
No. Professional or competitive participation is not covered.
